It was a lovely Sunday morning – the weather forecast had been worrying me the week before as it threatened to be wet, but fortunately the rain held off, meaning conditions for the run were ideal.
The race was around the City of London so it was great fun seeing all the local landmarks. The crowd was huge – was fantastic to see so many people there cheeering on all the runners, who were also entertained at various points throughout the race by music and dancers from many different countries.
Despite being a bit tired (I have been so very busy of late!) I managed a time of 58:31, which meant I finished 5570 – not bad out of a total of nearly 30,000 runners.
I was running to raise funds for the South-West Thames Kidney Fund – if you have donated already – thank you very much indeed! If you haven’t, then you can still donate on my JustGiving page – follow this link and click Donate: http://www.justgiving.com/owner-email/pleasesponsor/Clarice-WAMBA
