Fitness training – get active and healthier for life!
Clarice Fitness offers one-to-one and group fitness training, as well as fitness assessments, nutrition plans and a self-training programme. So there is something to suit everyone, whatever your fitness goals or ability.
A flexible way to work out, with minimal equipment
Clarice’s workouts are mostly based at home or outdoors, so they are ideal if don’t like going to the gym. If you feel intimidated or simply don’t have the time or means to travel to a gym, one-to-one or group fitness training will help.
Clients are often surprised at how we can have an intense work out with a small amount of equipment. But the truth is, we don’t need a lot of equipment to have an effective and fun workout. And because Clarice is a mobile personal trainer, she brings all the equipment to you. So all you need to do is turn up!
Flexible training that fits your lifestyle
And if you have young children, you can bring them along in their pram or pushchair, so you don’t need to worry about finding childcare. If you’ve a toddler, we’ll even get them joining in and show them how exercise can be fun. You’re never too young to start! You can even bring your dog, if you like.
What to expect in a typical session
A typical session lasts one hour and consists of a mix of both aerobic and interval training. By using body weight and a variety of other equipment, such as dumbbells, resistance bands, and kettle bells you are guaranteed a challenging yet exciting workout.
As part of each session, we’ll also go over your goals and monitor your measurements to keep you on track. If you need help with improving your nutrition, Clarice will also advise and work this into your training plan. See more on nutrition advice here.
Before we begin any fitness training, Clarice will carry out a fitness assessment with you. This is to check any health issues you may have and understand your current levels of fitness, so that she can tailor your fitness programme to suit you.
Firstly, you’ll need to fill in and submit a questionnaire, which you can do online. Then Clarice will measure your blood pressure, cardio-respiratory fitness, muscle strength and endurance, posture and flexibility and body composition (BMI, healthy body fat percentage range, body water percentage range, visceral fat rating, bone mass range, calorie intake, metabolic age).
After taking these measurements, Clarice will plan a suitable training programme for you.
The self-training programme is aimed at those who’d like a tailored training programme but who don’t feel they need a dedicated personal trainer to help them along.
After an initial consultation to understand your needs, goals and current fitness levels, Clarice will put together your personalised 4-week programme and email it to you.
Included in the self-training programme is:
- Safe and effective exercise recommendations, tailored to your needs and abilities
- Detailed explanation of how to carry out each exercise well and safely
- Tailored nutrition advice to help you achieve faster results

Children and young people
As well as working with adults, Clarice is also qualified to train and coach children and young people. She loves teaching them about the benefits of exercise and the importance of healthy eating. Learning these from a young age improves their self-esteem, builds up their strength and stamina, and gives them the tools to life a healthy lifestyle well into the future.
Most of Clarice’s work with children and young people is through training programmes in schools, youth clubs and for holiday activities. If you are interested in Clarice running a young person’s fitness training programme for your school or club, please contact Clarice for more information.
